Adding Funds To Your Account

Overview

Catapultian currently supports making deposits in the following format:

  • one-time credit card donations
  • one-time ACH/Direct Deposit donations
  • one-time Bitcoin donations
  • recurring credit-card donations
  • reccuring ACH/Direct Deposit donations

The minimum amount we process in a single deposit depends upon the deposit method. There is a $1.00 minimum on ACH/direct deposit and Bitcoin, and there is a $10.00 minimum on credit card.

100% of the value you deposit into your Catapultian Account, pre-payment process fees, is tax deductible. We charge no maintenance fees, no management fees, and no fees (to you or the charity) when we send funds from your account to a charity. All funds you deposit, net of payment process fees will be available to send to other charities. Currently, these fees are:

  • 25¢ on ACH deposits
  • 3.0% + 30¢ on credit card deposits
  • 0.5% on Bitcoin deposits

Before every deposit we show you exactly how much will be added to your account net of payment processing fees.

One-time Credit Card Deposits

To make a one-time credit card deposit select the tab that says “Credit Card.” The form requires the following information:

  • the value you wish to deposit
  • your name
  • your credit card number
  • your credit card CVV
  • your credit card expiration date

After entering this information, the amount of your donation will be calculated. If everything looks correct, click “Deposit funds.” The value will be immediately charged to your credit card, and the funds will appear in your account immediately.

If you receive an error response after clicking “Deposit funds,” please review the information you input carefully. Feel free to contact us if you are still having trouble.

One-time ACH/Direct Deposit

To add funds with ACH, you will need to link your bank account. Select the ACH tab to start, and then click “Connect your bank account.”

Select your bank from the modal prompt, login to your bank account using your existing bank login credentials, and, if necessary, select the relevant checking or saving account. This securely shares your bank account number, routing number, and verifies that you have authority over the account.

We currently only support ACH transaction from the following institutions: Bank of America, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Chase, Citi, Fidelity, Navy Federal, PNC, SunTrust, TD Bank, U.S. Bank, USAA, and Wells Fargo.

ACH transactions take 3 – 5 business days. Your funds will appear in your account at the end of this process, when the funds actually reach Catapultian’s system. You will receive a second email when these funds are deposited into your Catapultian account.

After you connect your bank account the first time, your account will remain connected. This enables future donations to be conducted with ease. However, you may disconnect your bank account at any time.

Please note, that this process does not give us access to your bank account login credentials. Your banking password never even hits our servers ensuring that these transactions will never be anything but one way deposits.

One-time Bitcoin Deposits

You may make a deposit into your Catapultian Account with Bitcoin in nearly the same way that you would make a credit card deposit.

To make a deposit using Bitcoin, specify the amount that you want to deposit valued in U.S. Dollars (“USD”).

Based upon this value, we will convert Bitcoin at the current exchange rate to the specified USD amount. This exchange rate is valid for ten minutes. You’ll see a timer in your dashboard to let you know how long the exchange is good for.

To complete this transaction, click either open wallet if you have a wallet linked to your browser. Or, click scan to use a QR code.

Recurring Credit Card Deposits

To make a recurring credit card deposit select the tab that says “Monthly Deposit.” This will bring up the monthly recurring deposit processing form. To make a recurring deposit, first select the value you’d like to deposit on a monthly basis.

After selecting the value, you should select Credit Card from the window.

And then, enter the relevant credit card information. This includes:

  • your name
  • your credit card number
  • your credit card CVV
  • your credit card expiry date

After entering this information click “Subscribe.”

The value will be immediately charged to your credit card, and the funds will appear in your account immediately. Your monthly deposit will be charged at the same time each month as the first transaction for each subsequent month. You may cancel recurring transactions at any time.

If you receive an error response after clicking “Deposit funds,” please review the information you input carefully. Please correct the information and click “Deposit funds” again.

Recurring ACH/Direct Deposits

To make a recurring ACH deposit select the tab that says “Monthly Deposit.” This will bring up the monthly recurring deposit processing form. To make a recurring deposit, first select the value you’d like to deposit on a monthly basis.

Accessing Annual Receipt

To access your annual receipt, select your profile in the top right corner of the page and then select “Transaction History” from the dropdown menu.

Select the relevant year and click “Print Receipt.” This will generate one receipt for all your giving in the specified year.
